Thank you for using DeployGate.

As part of our ongoing product updates, as of November 20, 2023, on the free Individual Plan, a maximum of 3 users can be invited to an Organization. This user limit includes both testers and developers.

Background

The free Individual Plan provides DeployGate’s most basic functions to both individuals involved in app development and businesses considering the Flexible Plan.

The Flexible Plan, designed for businesses, offers a Workspace that allows you to manage the app development process even more. You can group your apps and each app’s development team members into an Organization and further manage those Organizations in the Workspace.

You can invite members to your Workspace, assign those members to Organizations, and centrally manage them. (For more details, please visit here.)

While the Individual Plan does not have a Workspace, customers still should be able to centrally manage the access rights of individuals involved in app development. Therefore, for security reasons, we decided to count testers towards the member limits.

Changes

Before November 20, 2023

Up to 3 developers can be invited to an Individual Plan’s Organization. Testers are exempt from member limits.

On or After November 20, 2023

Up to 3 members, including both developers and testers, can be invited to an Individual Plan’s Organization. Testers count as members.

On or after November 20, 2023, if you are on an Individual Plan and wish to add members, you will be limited to 3 members, including testers. If you attempt to add 4 or more members (or have reached or exceeded your limit), you will encounter an error message and will be unable to add members.

Members added before November 20, 2023 will not be affected and can continue to use our services. However, you will be unable to add new members.

Additionally, you can continue to use Distributions by Link. Please consider using this distribution method if you require additional testers. Please visit here for information on the differences between “Distribution to Members” and “Distribution by Link.”

Adding 4 or More Members

If you require 4 or more members (including testers), please consider switching to a Flexible Plan or Enterprise Plan.

Both plans offer the new Workspace feature. Within a Workspace, you can create multiple Organizations. Each Organization can serve a different purpose or audience. For example, development projects, departments, etc. Members can participate in multiple Organizations and work across multiple projects.

Administrators can view project participation, assign permissions, and centrally manage users. They can easily manage access rights by inviting or deleting members from the Workspace when employment changes occur.

You can also add testers to a Shared Team and assign them to multiple Organizations. For example, if you have an internal/external QA organization, you can share a QA team across multiple projects.

Additionally, the Enterprise Plan supports SSO. It can be integrated with a company’s existing user authentication infrastructure to centralize and simplify employee management. Keeping track of accounts can be complicated, but this allows the IT department to take over member management from development project teams.

We hope you take this opportunity to consider the various options available.

If you are unsure which plan is best for you, are deciding between the app distribution methods (“Distribution to Members” and “Distribution by Link”), or have general questions or concerns, please contact DeployGate Customer Support (help@deploygate.com). We would be happy to provide suggestions based on your requirements.

Thank you for continuing to use DeployGate.
